Mobil Expansion, 750 N. Taylor on Council Agenda

A public hearing on the proposed expansion of the Kirkwood Mobil gas station will kick off tonight's meeting of the Kirkwood City Council. The owner of the station, Wallis Companies, is appealing to council after the Kirkwood Board of Adjustment denied variances for the project.

New business on the agenda includes a resolution approving a preliminary subdivision plat for 750 N. Taylor Ave.
Developer John Pitcher, of Gilpin Pitcher Development, is appealing to council after the Kirkwood Planning and Zoning Commission voted against approving a proposal to subdivide the property at its Nov. 2 meeting. Plans call for the property to be subdivided into three lots with a single-family residence on each lot.
Members of a subcommitee recommended Planning and Zoning deny the plans due to significant departure from the regulations of the Subdivision and Zoning Codes, according to meeting minutes.
