Silky Terrier and Chihuahua Looking for Homes
Meet our adoptable pets of the week, Gizmo and Chachi.
Gizmo is a very handsome 5-year-old Silky Terrier that was found as a stray. He had suffered from severe ear infections that are now cleared up. He is well behaved in the house and is learning to trust people and how to enjoy being a pet. He will require an owner who will be patient with him and who is willing to work with his fears.
Our mission is to place older dogs in the loving homes of older people in the St Louis area. We do, however, take in dogs of all ages and adopt to people of all ages. We do home visits and ask for a $200 adoption donation for adult dogs and $300 for puppies.
We are at the Kirkwood Petco every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Please visit our website at: www.seniordogs4seniors.com.
Thank you to Senior Dogs 4 Seniors for introducing us to Gizmo.
Chachi is a 2-year-old Chihuahua available for adoption through St. Louis Senior Dog Project.
Little Chachi has recovered well from his former life. He was found by a rural animal shelter in Kansas and tied to a tree in the backyard of an abandoned house without any food or water. The owners had moved and left him behind. Chachi fortunately made his way to St. Louis thanks to the help of many and is now looking to find his forever home. This cute little guy is ready to give anyone tons of snuggles and hugs and would love to go to a home that will keep him close by and let him be part of their everyday life.
Chachi is a very outgoing and energetic pooch, like most Chihuahuas at his age, so he would enjoy playing and going out for walks. He is housebroken, crate-trained and walks well on a leash. Chachi would make a great pet for any home, however his foster mom mentions that because he is so tiny he may not be the best pooch for a home with very small children. If you would like to meet Chachi or our other adoptable dogs stop by the Kirkwood Petco this weekend from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Thank you to the St. Louis Senior Dog Project for introducing us to Chachi.
