Do You Know What an Air Plant Is? Find the Answer in Kirkwood
The Bug Store in the city's downtown sells the unusual plant, which doesn't require any soil to thrive.
Want to add some greenery to your garden this spring while keeping the dirt out of your fingernails? Air plants could be the answer.
Mike Holly at The Bug Store in downtown Kirkwood said the plants don't require any soil and have recently experienced a surge in popularity. The store received some just before Christmas and quickly sold out but has received another, larger shipment in time for spring.
The plants are easy to take care of and only require being soaked in water around once a week.
"You could just soak them in the kitchen sink," Holly said.
