Heavier weights are not necessary to put on muscle, according to bone doctor Richard Lehman of the US Center For Sports Medicine. A new study shows a higher volume of repetitions with lighter weights, performed until failure, was equally effective in stimulating muscle proteins, Lehman tells Patch partner Fox2Now. See video.
