The 2012 Jeremy Maclin Football Camp held this summer at Kirkwood High School drew about 200 kids, a great turnout, according Camp Director Isaiah Mares.

Mares, Maclin and Sean Weatherspoon, outside linebacker for the Atlanta Falcons, speak to the success and goals of the camp in this video.

"[We want to] let them know anything is possible if they follow their dreams," Weathersppon says in the video.

Although the campers interaction with Maclin only spanned a few days (July 12-14), the Philadelphia Eagles' wide receiver and former Pioneer wanted to let the kids know that they could always reach out to him.

"I like to see what you guys are doing and see the maturity you guys are going to go through in your life," Maclin tells campers.

The Jeremy Maclin Football Camp is only in its second year, but the future looks bright for it to become a Kirkwood tradition.

"I love giving back to the community," Maclin says. "Hopefully this thing will continue as the years go on."

Did Maklin ever graduate from the University of Missouri? From the way he talks he sounds like a high school drop-out. Getting a degree from a university is more important than anything that is tought at this camp.
