Kirkwood High School Ranked 6th in State by U.S. News and World Report
Strong performance in AP exams and MAP tests earned KHS a Missouri top spot on the 2012 list of best public high schools.
The coveted U.S. News and World Report rankings of the best public high schools in America is out and Kirkwood High School has nabbed a top spot among those in Missouri.
KHS is the sixth best high school in the state, according to the rankings released Tuesday that are based on college readiness, math and English proficiency, and student to teacher ratio.
Here are the academic indicators for KHS, a U.S. News and World Report Silver Medal Winner:

- Algebra 1 Proficiency: 2.7
- English 2 Proficiency: 3.3
- Student/Teacher Ratio: 15:1
Algebra 1 and English 2 proficiency is determined based on student performance on Missouri Assesment Program (MAP) tests.
