See that streak? That's Senior Ramon Alton as he breaks a school rushing record Friday night.

Kirkwood remains undefeated and one of the top ranked schools in the St. Louis area as they continue their quest for a state championship.

The highlight of the game was a real record breaker. Senior running back Ramon Alton broke the Kirkwood Career rushing record, passing Michael Tillman record with 2,318 yards. Tillman played in 1997-1999.

Patch caught up with Coach Matt Irvin after the game and found out what he thought of the Pioneers’ efforts Friday night.

The offensive line did a good job--you know Ramon Alton set a rushing mark tonight. Jordan Bishop did a good job. Andre Harris had some good plays on offense. Our defense played well all game. (Seckman is) a very assignment oriented offense and they really forced us to make sure we made all the tackles we needed tonight.

It was a good team victory. In this kind of game, there’s a lot of hands involved.
