St. Gerard Majella School has made leaps and bounds in a nationwide contest that will award $1 million to 18 schools in the coming weeks.
The Kirkwood school is now in 24th place in U.S. Cellular's Calling All Communities Contest. St. Gerard first showed up in the Top 100 list at number 96 Sept. 25. The school then made a massive jump to number 51 by Oct. 2.
During the past week St. Gerard’s has rallied enough votes to catapult itself into the Top 25 list.
The school in first place by Oct. 21 will receive $150,000 and the next 17 schools will each receive $50,000 to spend in any way they see fit.
Before you can vote for St. Gerard online, you must visit a U.S. U.S. Cellular store to pick up a unique voting code to enter online when you cast your vote.
