Labor Day: What's Open, What's Closed?

Here's a list of what's open and closed in Kirkwood, Des Peres, Glendale and Oakland on Monday, Sept. 3.

 

Labor Day, also recognized as the unofficial end of summer, is a federal holiday celebrated on the first Monday of September each year. The holiday is held in honor of the contributions and achievements of American workers.

That means several government offices are closed on Monday, Sept. 3, including:

Since it is a federal holiday, the post office, banks and schools, such as the Kirkwood School District, will also be closed Monday.

The Kirkwood Community Center will be closed on Monday, but the aquatic center will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. 

The Lodge in Des Peres will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday.
