Mysterious Retaining Wall Damage, Check Investigation in Glendale

The Glendale Police blotter for Jan. 22-25. The following information was provided by the Glendale Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
At 2:16 p.m., police were contacted by a contractor whoe reported the possible forgery of a check from a resident in the 700 block of Edwin Avenue where he was performing repairs. Investigators said it was determined that there was no forgery, but the homeowner was holding the final payment until the repairs were complete.
At 10:57 a.m., police said the arrested a 29 year old St. Louis County man at the St. Louis County Justice Center and charged him with failure to appear (in court) and operating a motor vehicle with expired license plates. The man was reportedly released after pleading guilty and paying all fines.
At 8:03 p.m., a resident of the 800 block of Warwick Lane contacted police to report several bricks of his driveway’s retaining wall were repositioned. Police said a car may have struck the wall between 6 and 8:00 p.m. and caused the bricks to move. The wall suffered no permanent damage.
