Dozens of children, parents and older adults turned out to the Kirkwood Aquatic Center Saturday night to cheer on little plastic ducks in support of Mudd's Grove.

The Kirkwood Historical Society's held its third annual KenDucky Derby Duck Float, an event aimed to raise money for renovations to Mudd's Grove, home to the historical society.

Residents purchased plastic ducks for $10 each or three for $25. Three Races were held, with cash prizes for first, second and third place. Kirkwood's Highlands Brewing Company provided complimentary beer and refreshments courtesy of owner Mike Willerton.

Kirkwood Historical Society President Joe Godi said turnout was similar to previous years.
