Suspect in 'Logo Bandit' Bank Robberies is Charged

Bryon Gullion, 35, is suspected of having committed the crime in South County.

A man suspected of robbing a South County bank has been arrested in Richmond Heights and charged with first-degree robbery.

Bryon Gullion, 35, was charged Wednesday by the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's Office. The resident of Mexico, MO, is being held on a $50,000 cash bond.

He is suspected of having robbed Jefferson Bank and Trust, 5474 Southfield Center, on Jan. 17. No one was injured.

Representatives of the Richmond Heights Police Department and the FBI found Gullion in Richmond Heights. The Maplewood Police Department provided help with the investigation.

The suspect in that and several earlier bank robberies—including one in Kirkwood and one in Des Peres—previously has been dubbed the Logo Bandit. In each case, the suspect wore a hat with a prominent logo.

Gullion is expected to face additional charges in the cities where he is accused of committing bank robberies.

Sgt. Doug Schaeffler of the Richmond Heights police referred questions about the robberies to the Clayton Police Department because none of the crimes happened in Richmond Heights.

Clayton detectives are working on the case, and additional information should be available likely Thursday morning, Community Services Officer Korey Golcynski said.
