Survey to Decide Half-Day Kindergarten Options
The Kirkwood School District is asking for feedback from parents to decide how many classrooms of half-day kindergarten will be offered next year and at what schools.

The Kirkwood School District is trying to determine if there is enough interest from parents to establish morning half-day kindergarten programs at North Glendale and/or Westchester elementary schools for the 2012-2013 school year.
Enrollment numbers at this time are not enough to establish a program at any one elementary school. Enrollment numbers are:
- Keysor: 4
- Robinson: 5
- North Glendale: 6
- Tillman: 4
- Westchester: 12
The district has sent a letter to parents who expressed interest in their child attending half-day kindergarten next school year.
The letter asks parents if they would send their child and provide their own transportation to half-day programs at North Glendale, Westchester, or, if they would like to enroll their child in the full-day program.
Parents are asked to return letters to the district by April 27. The district will confirm placement of students by June 1.
