Two people are dead after the motorcycle they were riding collided with a car on the southwest edge of Kirkwood, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

The accident happened at the intersection of Big Bend Road and South Holmes Avenue just before noon, the report says.

According to the Post:

A man and a woman in their 40s or 50s were heading westbound on the motorcycle on Big Bend. A man in his 70s was driving a car headed eastbound on Big Bend and making a left turn.

The driver of the car did not sustain injuries, the Post reports. Police are waiting to release the names of the victims until family has been notified. No charges or traffic citations have been issued.
