Kirkwood Football Takes on Summit in Primetime at Edward Jones Dome

Both Kirkwood and Rockwood Summit are highly ranked in current rankings and they meet on a big stage at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15. The undefeated teams will meet at the Edward Jones Dome in the 2nd Annual Great American Football Classic.

Kirkwood won the 2011 matchup 36-7 by forcing five turnovers with only conceding one. RB Ramon Alton (#33) ran the ball 12 times for 130 yards including runs of 36 and 64. QB Jordan Bishop (#7) passed for two touchdowns and even recorded an interception on defense.

  • LB Eric Beisel (#38) - 35 total tackles & 1 INT (committed to Mizzou)
  • RB Ian McIntosh (#5) - 45 rushes for 228 yards (also primary kick returner)
  • WR Nick Bamvakais (#20) - 5 catches for 153 yards & 2 Return TDs (Fumble Recovery & Punt Return)
  • Dual Threat QB James Crockett (#19) & Pocket Passer QB Matt Seymour (#12) - combined 24 of 44 for 440 yards passing

Ticket Information: available in Ms. Denton's office at Kirkwood High School (in the new science building) through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Advance tickets will be sold for $11 for both students and adults. Tickets will be available on game day at the Edward Jones Dome for $15 each.
