During February, Student Pastor Jacqueline Lamensky will teach a series of Adult Education classes that looks at the United Church of Christ and our polity. In our first class session, we will study the meaning of the word polity, which is the study of how a denomination works and governs itself. In our second class we will look at some of the UCC's key phrases and why they are special to our denomination. The phrases include Extravagant Welcome, Covenant, Autonomy, and Unity. In our third class, we will look more deeply at the two recognized sacraments of Baptism and Communion within the United Church of Christ. The final class we will talk about how KUCC can radiate everything we have talked about over the first three weeks, and we will have trivia to see just how much you have learned and how well you know the UCC! This class will hopefully help you to answer those burning questions that you have about our amazing denomination of the United Church of Christ!
