The Magic House, Prairie Farms and North Star Frozen Treats are kicking off the beginning of summer with the help of with some good old-fashioned outdoor recreation. On Friday, May 25 visitors are invited to celebrate the hottest season of the year in The Magic House’s very own backyard with some very cool summer activities such as water play, parachute play, jump ropes, balls, bubbles, “sand”sational outdoor art and lots of fun games! Visitors can also relax under a beach umbrella or go on a shell dig at The Magic House’s very own backyard oasis, Sandcastle Beach.
Plus, during the event visitors can cool off with some delicious ice cream treats compliments of North Star Frozen Treats and even shake flippers with Norton the North Star penguin. All activities are free with museum admission. It’s the kickoff to summer, make it magical!

This fun-filled museum offers tons of variety with many exciting and educational exhibits. Visit the Children's Village where kids can service a car, stock grocery store shelves or catch a fish. Step into the bubble-filled Bubble Room or watch visitors hair stand on end from the electrically charged ball. Admission costs $9.50 for all visitors.
