DESCRIPTION:A native of Ireland\, poet Eamonn Wall&nbsp\;has  called the 
 U.S. home for more than 30 years. Since 2000\, he&rsquo\;s lived in  Web
 ster Groves\, Mo. This transatlantic identity has shaped his writing  an
 d made him one of the most prominent contemporary voices of the  Irish-A
 merican experience.\nWall\, the Smurfit-Stone Corporation Endowed Profes
 sor in Irish Studies at the University of Missouri&ndash\;St. Louis\, wi
 ll read excerpts from his most recent book\, &ldquo\;Sailing Lake Mareot
 is\,&rdquo\; at 2 p.m. Jan 26 at the Webster Groves Public Library. The 
 event is free and open to the public.\nWall&rsquo\;s stories navigate ba
 ck and forth between cities and rural  spaces\, America and Ireland\, th
 e ancient and modern\, the classroom and  home\, presenting a many-sided
  exploration of a fine and fractured world.\nHe&rsquo\;ll be joined at t
 he reading by Drucilla Wall\, assistant teaching professor of English at
  UMSL\, and Christine Callahan.\nWall has eight published books of poetr
 y and prose. His next  collection\, &ldquo\;New and Selected Poems\,&rdq
 uo\; is scheduled for publication in  2014.\nThe event is sponsored by W
 ebster Groves Public Library\, Salmon Poetry (Ireland)\, the Smurfit-Sto
 ne Endowed Professorship in Irish Studies at UMSL and International Stud
