Tips To Sustain a Job

This is a list of tips to help you find a job or keep a job.

1. Be persistent. Do not let the awkward interviews or no call backs keep you down. If you really want a job, then you really need to work at it. You are not going to get hired right away and it is going to be a long process, but it is worth it in the end.

2. If you are going to apply somewhere, make sure you look presentable. Ladies, no sweatshirts and leggings. Gentleman, no cut offs or a t-shirt from a concert you attended last week. If they see you as looking like someone who will slack off, then they will consider you as someone who does so.

3. Keep your Facebook and Twitter clean of anything you would not want an employer to see. Face reality, businesses check social networking sites to see if who they are hiring is compatible for the job.

4. Understand that when you are hired, these business owners rely on you. Do not call in an hour before your shift and say you cannot make it in because you are too tired or not feeling well. Do not take the position for granted because you are easily replaced.

5. Always be comfortable when being interviewed. Relax, the business called you back because they were impressed in the first place. Stressing and worrying over the small things such as how you look or how firm your handshake is only complicates the more important events such as your answers or how best to explain your characteristics.
