The Whoohoos, a social group that supports local business and creates community services projects through the year, is hosting its “Launching a Luncheon With Laughter” kickoff event Wednesday, Feb. 19, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., The luncheon will be held at Ces & Judy’s at Le Chateau located at 10405 Clayton Road.

The program will features a ribbon cutting ceremony, entertainment by Emmy nominated actress and comedian Phyllis Shulman, an appearance by author of the “Brain Dead In The Burbs” series Laura Edwards Ray, a presentation by the cast of Petalwinks: The Musical,” and an introduction from St. Charles CHILL, Professional Hockey Team. The event also includes food, drinks, and prizes.
The organization got its name from the expression parents often make when their children start or end school,” said The Whoohoos’ founder and CEO Barbara Conrad, of Webster Groves. “It’s all about parents, grandparents and caregivers of children making connections, having a good time, and boosting each other’s success in a casual, professional setting.”
