Ash Wednesday evening service

Ash Wednesday is the first day of the church season of Lent and occurs 46 days before Easter.

The day is named for the practice of placing ashes on the foreheads of worshipers. Early Christians adopted the use of ashes from Jewish practice as an external mark of penitence.

All are welcome to attend to begin the Lenten season of prayer and repentance, in preparation for Easter.
