Meet Doc

Doc is a handsome, 10-year-old Cockapoo who is calm, quiet and well behaved. Doc sleeps quietly all night on a dog bed in the bedroom.  He is potty trained when he lives with someone who is home all day and can let him outside when needed. 

Doc would do best in a forever home where he is the only dog or with one other dog.  He does enjoy his daily walks.  He was previously overweight and has lost about ten pounds due to reduced amount of food and daily walks.  Doc enjoys belly rubs, attention, tail wagging and giving kisses!  Doc does not enjoy being picked up - quite possibly because of his weight. He will gently eat treats from your hand. He also loves to chew bones!  We have also seen some separation anxiety with Doc and would love for him to be in a home where someone is home most of the time. 

Our mission is to place older dogs in the loving homes of older people in the St Louis area. We do not ask for an adoption donation for our special needs dogs. Doc is considered a special needs dog because of his age. 

We are at the Kirkwood Petco every Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm. This store is located on Lindbergh just north of I-44. Turn left at the first major stoplight.

Meet Wynona

Wynona is an adult pekingese available for adoption through the St. Louis Senior Dog Project.

Wynona just retired from being a puppymill breeder! We are so happy she was able to get out and get a chance at being a real pet and not a breeder! Wynona is as sweet as she is beautiful, she is such a happy pup and has adapted well at living in a home. 

You will always see Wynona happy, she sure is a tail wagger! And the thing she loves the most is being petted and sitting comfy in someone's lap. She would make a great pet for a senior citizen or for anyone that loves a good sweet companion. If you would like to meet Wynona or our other adoptable pets stop by the Kirkwood Petco this weekend from 11am to 3pm.
