“Books and Beyond,” located 15 steps from the circulation desk, is the Kirkwood Public Library’s gift shop. The gift shop features used, gift-quality books that have been carefully selected and discounted in price.  There is also a selection of handmade crafts, mittens, scarves and jewelry.  These items are created by members of the Friends of the Kirkwood Public Library.  In addition, there is an array of tree ornaments, key chains, slap watches, wine glasses, purses and mugs, perfect for “stocking stuffers.”

Winter thrills

The Mystery Readers Book Club is meeting on Dec. 21 at 2 pm.  The group will be discussing Death at the Chateau Bremont by M.L. Longworth.  Refreshments will be served.

As always, Kirkwood Patch extends a sincere thank you to Deb Barry, assistant director of Youth Services & Programs at KPL, for sharing library information with our readers.
