The children's staff has been busy all week preparing for a big event this Saturday at 1:30 p.m., called "Pioneer Days." Barney Bradshaw from the Missouri History Museum will speak at 1:30 p.m. about life on the Oregon Trail. Following his talk we are offering fun and creative activities from pioneer life. Don't worry if you don't have a calico bonnet or a dusty pair of boots, all that is needed is a little imagination to enjoy the action on Saturday!

As always, Kirkwood Patch extends a sincere thank you to Deb Barry, assistant director of Youth Services & Programs at KPL, for sharing library information with our readers.
