Webster Groves: Pets, Kids Strut Stuff

Children showed off their pets Friday at the Webster Groves Community Days Pet Parade.

The fur was flying in the on Friday for the annual Pet Parade. Dogs big and small barked as young owners fed them treats and showed off their abilities to friends, family and fellow animal lovers.

The Pet Parade, part of the Webster Groves Community Days celebration, allows children 15 and younger to enter their pets in a friendly competition.

There are six categories: Best Costume, Best Pet Joke, Pet/Owner Look-Alike, Best Trick, Funniest Looking and Best Float. Each pet is allowed to participate in as many categories as the owners wishes. First place is awarded a trophy, and second and third place in each category receive medals.
