Dogs to Help Set Stage for Kirkwood Theater Production

The Kirkwood Theater Guild is partnering with the Animal Protective Association of Missouri to bring authenticity to its newest play.

The Kirkwood Theatre Guild (KTG) is getting some help from four-legged friends for a new production that opens Friday.

Joe DiPietro’s The Last Romance, is set in a city dog park. To help create the dog park atmosphere, volunteers from Animal Protective Association of Missouri will walk adoptable dogs across the stage before every performance.

“KTG is always interested in finding ways to partner with our community neighbors," said KTG Executive Director Terry Sibbitts. APAMO's Special Events Coordinator Robin Wood is excited about the exposure and the possiblity of having some dogs find homes.
