OASIS kicks off 30-year anniversary with concert at Kirkwood Park

OASIS, a national education organization dedicated to enriching the lives of adults age 50+, will hold a free concert featuring the Kerosene Can String Band on Thursday, September 20 at 6 pm at the Lions’ Amphitheatre, Kirkwood Park, 111 S. Geyer Rd., Kirkwood, MO, 63122.

The concert is the first event this fall that kicks off a year-long celebration of the 30th anniversary of OASIS. OASIS has held annual concerts in Kirkwood Park since the City of Kirkwood became an OASIS program site in 2009. At each concert, OASIS focuses on combining music and history. At this year’s event the Kerosene Can String Band blends history and music, bringing the traditional string music of the Ozark and Appalachian Mountains to Kirkwood Park.
