Theatrical Premiere of 'Bad Things for Good Reasons'

The Meramec Theatre presents the theatrical premiere of “Bad Things for Good Reasons” by Jim Greer Feb. 15-18 at 7:30 p.m. and Feb. 19 at 2 p.m.

In rural southern Missouri, a group of five people gather for what starts out as a friendly visit. Soon, however, the visit turns into a tragedy that will forever change the lives of all those involved. Al is a 52-year-old, uneducated scam artist. Valerie is young, beautiful and abused. Billy is a fun-loving maintenance man, and Lisa is his educated and lusty wife. Mark is a good-looking, but naïve, high school history teacher. Five will arrive, and four will survive.

“Bad Things for Good Reasons” playwright Greer is a member of the Meramec Theatre department faculty. The play is directed by Keith Oliver, with set design by Rick Willmore.
