Fans Come Out In Force For 'Potter' Premiere

All 14 screens at Chesterfield Galaxy 14 Cine played "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" at midnight. The movie brought out fans from Nerinx Hall High School and St. John Vianney High School.

Fans gathered to say goodbye to the much beloved Harry Potter series Thursday night. The last film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, premiered at midnight in theaters across the U.S.

Many in attendance said the movies and films defined their childhoods. The last film—though it gave them closure—was a bittersweet event. 

At Chesterfield Galaxy 14 Cine, 17-year-old Abby Fiala of University City played the card game Apples to Apples with friends while she waited to be allowed into the theater.

Fiala said she thinks this film will be her favorite. "It's going to be really intense. I know I'm going to cry."
