Webstock Preview: Music, Peace Hit Action Park

A quick look at the bands playing at 7:30 p.m. on Friday for Webster Groves Community Days.

This year's Webster Groves Community Days celebration kicks off on Friday with Webstock, a concert presented by . The bands will perform in Webster's Action Park, part of Memorial Park, off South Elm Avenue and East Glendale Road.

Roster:

  • The Aaron Griffin Blues Band
  • Wizard Muffler
  • Rosewood
  • Liberty Bandits
  • Flood the Wall
  • Cole, Williams and Friends
  • The Tara, Gus, Ben, Eric and Chris Band


Genre
: A variety. Jazz, rock, folk-rock, blues and experimental.

Webster ties: “Some of them are students, some are alumni, some are parents and teachers,” said coordinator Brian Ward. "Some of them are out playing, and some of them basically played at the high school or high school-sponsored events."

One of the bands, The Tara, Gus, Ben, Eric and Chris Band, specifically formed for Webstock, according to Ward. "For some of [the bands] it’s a big deal,” he said.
