Police Say Kirkwood Homicide Suspect in Custody

After a manhunt since Monday afternoon, the suspect wanted in connection to a teen's murder was caught Tuesday evening.

A teen wanted in connection to 18-year-old Brandon Richards's murder was captured Tuesday night, Kirkwood Police said in a release.

Police said Nicholas Lunceford, 19, was arrested without incident Tuesday at a motel in the 8700 block of Watson Road in Marlborough.

Lunceford is one of two suspects police said are tied to Richards's killing. As Patch previously reported, Keenan Miller, 18, was charged with second degree murder armed criminal action and attempted delivery/distribution/sale of a controlled substance. Authorities allege Miller was delivering marijuana when Richards was shot and killed in Kirkwood Monday.

A memorial service for Richards, a recent graduate of Kirkwood High School, is scheduled for Friday at Bopp Chapel.
