Two teens have been charged with second degree murder in the death of Brandon Richards, a recent Kirkwood High School graduate.

Kirkwood Police said Richards was shot and killed in a home on Pleasant Court Monday afternoon. Police conducted a manhunt for Nicholas Lunceford, 19, who was found Tuesday night at a motel in Marlborough.

A release from Kirkwood Police said Lunceford was charged Wednesday by the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's Office with second degree murder, one count of armed criminal action, and one count of attempted delivery/distribution/sale of a controlled substance.

Lunceford is one of two suspects police said are tied to Richards's death. As Patch previously reported, Keenan Miller, 18, was charged with second degree murder armed criminal action and attempted delivery/distribution/sale of a controlled substance. Kirkwood Police added Miller was delivering marijuana and Lunceford received it when Richards was shot and killed during the course of the sale.

Lunceford and Miller are in St. Louis County Jail. Lunceford's bond was set at $200,000 cash only, and Miller's at $100,000.

A memorial service for Richards, a recent graduate of Kirkwood High School, is scheduled for Friday at Bopp Chapel.
