  • Job: Assistant Professor of Cultural Anthropology

  • Experience: This is a nine-month academic position beginning in August 2013. Must have an active research agenda and successful undergraduate teaching experience in political anthropology with primary interest in the anthropology of human rights preferably in the global South. Applicants will be expected to teach introduction to cultural anthropology, qualitative methods, anthropological theory as well as other courses within the applicant's field of expertise. Candidates will have earned a doctorate in cultural anthropology by the date of the appointment. ABD considered if near completion. 
  • Responsibilities: The position carries a teaching load of six courses per year (three courses each semester) and student academic advising responsibilities within the home department. Opportunities exist for faculty research and for teaching at our international campuses. Faculty members are expected to participate in department, college and university governance activities and other university events.
