Mitsubishis are no longer in the mix of new and used cars at the heavily trafficked intersection of North Kirkwood and Manchester roads.

Last week Chris Auffenberg Kirkwood Mitsubishi moved its inventory to its service lot one block south of its old sales lot at 10760 Manchester Road. The sales lot is now at 1000 North Kirkwood Road.

The decision was prompted by the dealership's desire to combine service and sales, according to General Sales Manager Michael Chrun.

I am working on getting in contact with Chris Auffenberg to learn more about the move and the future of the old lot.

No doubt another gas station will want to move in on or near there. Rumour has it Quick Trip wants to compete with the new Mobil. I recently saw those 'zoning matters' signs on kirkwood rd., next to wilson where Auffenberg left. Perhaps the city of kirkwood has been approached again and knows something?

Thanks, Ron. Yeah, I heard about Quick Trip. I emailed a P&Z contact about whether any businesses have come forward regarding the location and didn't hear back, but the signs are interesting. I'll write an update after speaking with Chris and/or a contact at P&Z.

Very suspicious that Chris wouldn't comment!
