Commission Considers New Kirkwood Fitness Facility

The Kirkwood Planning and Zoning Commission will vote on BARx Crossfit this week. The fitness facility hopes to open near Geyer and Manchester roads.

The Kirkwood Planning and Zoning Commission will vote Wednesday on whether to approve BARx Crossfit, a new fitness facility that focuses on high-intensity training. Petitioner Ed Lempitt is seeking a special use permit to open BARx Crossfit at 11216 Manchester Road in Kirkwood.

The Kirkwood Planning and Zoning Commission will vote on whether to approve the new business after a subcommittee presents findings from an on-site review. The commission meets at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Kirkwood City Hall in Council Chambers.
