Fashion Friday: Blush Boutique in Kirkwood

The women's fashion store has tons of great clothing, including five fun outfits for the Fourth of July.

The Fashion

From shorts and a tee to a fun dress, in Kirkwood has tons of outfit options for whatever you have planned for your Independence Day weekend.

If you want to keep it simple with a pair of jeans or shorts, Blush has you covered. In keeping with the red, white and blue theme of the weekend, they have a pair of red J Brand jean shorts ($158) that look great with a striped grey and white Free People tee ($58), Skinny scarf ($58) and Dollhouse fringe sandals ($48).

If you want a full pair of jeans, Blush has some 1921 flares ($148) that look great with an off-white Saivana blouse ($160), House of Harlow Carly sunglasses ($86) and a red Tano bag ($179).

For a little dressier shorts look, try the patterned blue and white Lucy Love high-waisted shorts ($48) with an orange Amanda Uprichard blouse ($135).

Of course, Blush also has a wide selection of dresses that are perfect for any occasion. A patterned Bianca Coletti dress ($198) looks great with a pair of vintage boots ($98) and a Geranium necklace ($45).

Pairing a sleeveless yellow, lavender and grey-striped Hunter Dixon dress ($295) with a straw tote ($58), a pair of wedge sandals and a gold House of Harlow cuff ($65) makes for a fun look for summer.

The Facts

Blush owner Sarah King opened the boutique at its Jefferson Avenue location in February 2006, just two months after graduating from Missouri State University.

"I built my business plan in college," King said. "It's what I've always wanted to do."

In August 2010, the store relocated to 110 N. Clay Ave., making sure to still remain in Kirkwood.

"It's a really nice community," King said. "A lot of people care about the business district. There's a good camaraderie amongst the business owners, which is rare."

The next big sale at Blush will be on July 16, when they have a cash-only sidewalk sale during their normal business hours (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.).

More information about Blush can be found on the store's website.
