Fireworks to Mark 10-Year Anniversary of West County Center

A ceremony takes place Thursday morning with events through the weekend.

Fireworks, a dove release, Dora the Explorer and handprint tiles are all part of a 10-year anniversary ceremony Thursday to commemorate West County Center in Des Peres.

The ceremony is from 9-9:25 a.m. The first 100 attendees will receive a commemorative gift package, including a $10 dining gift card.

Fans can meet Dora the Explorer and Diego from 9 a.m. to noon and 3-6 p.m., and children can create commemorative handprint tiles that will be permanently displayed at the mall. Chic-fil-A will provide free food during regular mall hours.
