Greentree Community Church Sells Retail Building Considered for Worship Space

The Alpine Shop at Kirkwood Road is one of the tenants of the building.

The building that houses The Alpine Shop on Kirkwood Road was once considered a home for worship space and offices for Greentree Community Church.

The church bought the building in 2010, but the St. Louis Business Journal now reports that Greentree has sold the property to a land developer for $3.15 million.

The newspaper reported Wednesday that Greentree sold the 2.2-acre site and building after it became clear that The Alpine Shop would renew its lease in the building, and that it would not be able to convert it to use as a church.
