Halloween Walk, Cool Crafts and More at Kirkwood Library

Looking for some free Kirkwood fun for you and the kids? There's no better place to find it than at the Kirkwood Public Library. Check out this week's can't-miss events!

Tuesday: Big Screen Fun, for Free

  • Cinema KPL is featuring Gettysburg on Oct. 25 at 1:30 pm. We pull down the big screen every Tuesday afternoon. Just follow the scent of popping corn to the meeting room.

Wednesday: Meet the Authors of a Murder Mystery

  • Authors Jo Hiestand and Paul Hornung will be at the library on Oct. 26 at 7 p.m. to discuss their new book Swan Song.

Thursday: Downtown Kirkwood Halloween Walk

  • The Kirkwood Public Library is a participant in Downtown Kirkwood's Halloween Walk , Oct. 27, 5-7 p.m. As in past years, are looking forward to seeing all the children and adults in their creative costumes — always a big night for Kirkwood and the library! If you need a little break from the action bring the kids down to the children’s area. We will have some quiet crafts. Can you find our staff member dressed as Tinker Bell?

Saturday: Spooky Craft Classic for Kids

  • On Saturday, kids ages 6 and up will have an opportunity to design Halloween luminaries. Sign up is required for this spooky craft. Call 314-821-5770 x1015 or drop by the library to see a sample. 

Hot DVDs

  • Don't forget to check out our spooky Halloween hot dvds for children and adults. They go out for three days and are located to the right of the circulation desk, as you enter the library. And of course, rentals are free for residents.
