Kirkwood Wal-Mart Unveils Expansion

A ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday morning.

The will unveil its full-line of groceries and other additions to the store Wednesday morning during a brief ribbon cutting ceremony.

In addition to now offering a full-line of groceries, the expansion brings a new layout and updated design to the store.

“The layout of the store is easy to navigate, which will save customers time as they shop for everyday necessities at our unbeatable prices,” said store manager Chet Chapman. “By grouping the products that our customers most often purchase we are making one-stop shopping even easier.”

The new layout includes wider aisles, lower shelving and directional signage on every aisle. The store's design features environmentally friendly features, like skylights, LED lighting, and low-flow toilets and faucets.

The Kirkwood Wal-Mart expansion adds 75 new positions to the store to bring its total number of employees to 350. The brief ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 8 a.m. Wednesday.
