Restaurant Inspections: 20/20 Cafe, Egg & I Get Reviews

Restaurant inspections are conducted by the St. Louis County Department of Health. Patch has a summary of the public reports affecting area eating and drinking establishments reviewed in August and September.

Grade rankings range from A (highest) to C (lowest). Report comments and explanations are provided in Patch's summary. Follow-up inspections are noted, other visits are routine.

Receptacles not kept clean.

Hibachi Grill & Supreme Buffet, 7289 Watson Road
Inspection Date: Sept. 13 (follow-up required)
Grade: A (93)
Dish machine not sanitizing properly. Facility was previously using chlorine for machine but only wash agent hooked up. Machine did not register for high heat either. Dishes shall be properly sanitized between each use. Correct by 9-24-13. Sanitizer buckets are being made with soap instead of bleach. Food contact surfaces shall be sanitized between each use. COS Repeat Tested 100ppm. Sugar and cornstarch containers open with no lids. Repeat. COS Food shall be protected from contamination. Covered containers with lids.  Plastic bowls being used to scoop dry good in storage containers. Repeat. Utensils shall be properly stored between uses, not contaminating food. COS removed. Walk in coolers swept out. Refrigerators have been cleaned out as well. No test strips on site to test sanitizing solutions. Repeat. Test kits shall be available to test sanitizers. Correct by 9-24-13. Prep sink pipes coming from wall still leaking water into floor. Repeat Plumbing systems shall be in good repair. Correct by 9-24-13. Garbage receptacles outside missing cover. Repeat. Receptacles shall be designed with tight fitting lids. Correct by 9-24-13. Floors have been swept up under storage racks and grease buildup has been cleaned up around cooking equipment.

Inspection Date: Sept. 13 (follow-up required)
Grade: A (94)
Hepatitis A records not available for all current employees. Hep. A records shall be on site in a clear and concise manner for all current employees. Correct by 9-24-13. Walk in freezer has trash and debris in floor. Soda machine near drive through has debris and possible mold growth near ice dispenser. Non food contact surfaces shall be cleaned at a frequency to prevent buildup. Correct by end of business today.
