Michael H. said: "Norman Rockwell would have loved this place! This place is just classic Kirkwood. I recall my great grandmother telling me that she loved this place. The food is simple and greasy but the atmosphere is legendary."

Gina M. said: "There is nothing better than walking into an old style diner, seating yourself in the back booth and enjoying a hot coffee and delicious breakfast with you significant other on a cold Friday morning.

Spencer's is a small, no thrills kinda eatery which consists of a few booths and counter. It's the kind of place that has regulars and good folks who come hungry and leave happy.

Super Cheap! (I spend more for a coffee and pastry at Starbucks)"

Dennis said: "I enjoyed their pancakes & eggs. Good & flavorful. Lunch is kinda mediocre. Seating is cramped and somewhat uncomfortable, but the service is great."

Drew said: "If yer plate ain't shiny when empty, you haven't had a really tasty diner meal. Thankfully, Spencer's Grill knows how to ante up the grease factor to "Died and gone to cholesterol heaven." Good grease but not so much the food's swimming in it. Interesting scrapple made with grits and sausage although I didn't see why it needed to be coated with pancake batter before frying. Not offputting but definitely non-traditional. Coffee is plentiful, flavorful and served in a good ol' solid ceramic mug, the kind you'll love to cup your hands around on a chilly day. And refill offers come around plenty often. If you must have matchy-matchy decor and twisted fruit slice garnishes on your plate, don't bother going here. For old-style diner atmosphere and basic, yummy, butter-laden farmer food, Spencer's is your kind of fine dining."
