Schnucks Fraud Reports Slowing, But Still Coming in to Police

Kirkwood police received additional reports from residents who fell victim to fraud after their credit and debit cards were used following the Schnucks security breach.

The following information was provided by the Kirkwood Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction. 

Between May 6 and May 12, Kirkwood Police said they received an additional three reports of identity-theft related to the Schnucks grocery chain credit and debit card security breach.

This takes the total reports made by residents to at least 84, according to police.

As previously reported by Patch, Kirkwood police had already taken more than 80 reports from residents who fell victim to fraud from the breach.

Kirkwood police also issued advice to residents on how to handle the situation if they found their cards had been compromised.
