When was the business founded?: "1991"

How did your business come to be?: "I started at the Kirkwood Farmers' Market. I believe the rent was $25 for a stall for three days. I was growing tons of plants for myself and thought, 'Why not try to sell a few?'"

Why did you choose the area you did?: "I live in Kirkwood and the Market is blocks from my home."

What kind of services do you offer?: "We specialize in exceptional and rare perennials and hydrangeas, and also offer shrubs, old fashioned and modern roses, annuals, vines, ornamental grasses, and herbs. Additionally, we offer free garden consultations at the nursery, and at-home consultations and garden design for a fee. What's a fact about your business that most customers probably don't know?: "We offer over 2,000 varieties of plants."

What do you want your business to be best known for?: "Our goal at Sugar Creek is to offer the most remarkable, the newest and the oddest in plants from around the world, along with exceptional service."

What's your most popular product or service?: "Plants, plants, plants. We are plant nerd heaven."
