Network Enhanced in St. Louis for Postseason Baseball

When the St. Louis Cardinals make the baseball postseason, there’s no place that St. Louisans would rather be than Busch Stadium. And whether fans are in the stadium or just celebrating nearby, the action is exhilarating.

This week, the St. Louis Cardinals have started their pursuit of a 12th World Series title, playing against the Boston Red Sox. To enhance fans’ experiences, Verizon Wireless has increased its 4G LTE capacity within Busch Stadium by 300 percent over last year’s postseason run and also installed a temporary cell site just outside the stadium in downtown St. Louis.

The temporary cell site, which is positioned just east of the stadium, and in-stadium advancements help manage the increased network traffic from the large crowds in and around the stadium, allowing fans to share their experiences by making calls; using social media; accessing the Internet; or sending emails, texts, pictures and video messages on the nation’s largest 4G LTE network.
