Sonus Benefits Opens Cape Girardeau Location

Sonus Benefits recently opened a satellite office at 2031 Cape LaCroix Rd. in Cape Girardeau, Mo. to handle its growing customer base located in the Southeast Missouri region.  Thomas Viers, the company's new regional vice president, was recently hired to manage the new location.

Viers brings a variety of experience to the company.  Prior to joining Sonus Benefits, he worked as an employee benefits consultant for nearly 15 years.  He previously served as an award-winning account executive with Blue Cross Blue Shield.  Viers is often asked to speak on topics that relate to employee benefits and healthcare reform.  He earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology and an MBA from Bradley University.

Sonus Benefits is the employee benefits division of MSMF, a wealth management company that specializes in financial solutions.  Sonus Benefits is one of Missouri's only members of Benefit Advisors Network (BAN), a premier network of nationally credentialed independent benefit advisory and consulting companies.

"Viers' background makes him the most capable candidate to run this satellite office," said Sonus Benefits' managing partner Thomas Murphy.  "We have realized great growth in the Southeast Missouri region and, with his help, we can continue to actively reach more companies with employee benefit needs."

Founded in 1990, Sonus Benefits is located at 12213 Big Bend Rd. in St. Louis, Mo.  Services include benefits consulting and solutions, wellness programs, risk management, and compliance support.  For more information, call managing partner Thomas Murphy at (314) 677-2550 or visit the company website at www.sonusbenefits.com.
