Community Mourns Loss of Mike Bales

News of the death of former Kirkwood High School Resource Officer Mike Bales spurs an outpouring of memories online.

When news of Mike Bales death Friday surfaced on a social media outlet, the community was quick to mourn the loss of the beloved former school resource officer for Kirkwood High School.

A simple mobile posting from Kirkwood Football Facebook on Friday has met with hundreds of Likes and dozens of comments about how Bales impacted those around him. 

Kirkwood Football Facebook wrote "Moment of Silence for former KHS School Resource Officer Mike Bales who passed away this morning... Always A Pioneer! You will be missed Mike!"

A visitation for Bales will be held Tuesday and a funeral service Wednesday at Bopp Chapel in Kirkwood.
