Photo Gallery: Not Gonna Rain on Their Parade

Despite the morning rain, the Webster Groves Fourth of July parade went off without a hitch.

Although the weather forecast predicted thunderstorms and an 80 percent chance of rain, that didn't stop residents of Webster Groves and the surrounding areas from setting up along the 2-mile Fourth of July parade route. Chairs began appearing on Lockwood Avenue Sunday night, and by 10 a.m. Monday, crowds were lined up, ready and waiting.

The parade started at East Lockwood Avenue and Selma Avenue and ended in Memorial Park. It began to rain just as the parade started, but 15 minutes later the umbrellas were put away and the procession of cars, floats and paraders began.
