Lydia Ruffin Benefit Concert for Watering Malawi
Lydia Ruffin will be joined with other local artists to create a fun evening of Christmas music at Delmar Baptist Church. The concert is free to the public, but will include a time for donations to www.wateringmalawi.org
Lydia Ruffin, singer, songwriter, and musical director, has been performing for St Louis audiences since 1979. Her career began with the popular vocal-swing group SPATZ, performing nationally and internationally. Lydia has released two solo CDs, Mimosa (2000) and The Feast of Life(2009), and is the featured vocalist on St. Louis jazz composer Dan Rubright's Christmas Café (2009). She performs in the acoustic band Mayor Taylor with long-time musical comrades Charlie Pfeffer and Mike Tiefenbrun.
Lydia is pleased to be performing at Delmar Baptist with guitarist and composer Dan Rubright and percussionist Ted Rubright.

Delmar is creating awareness for Watering Malawi and raising $6,000 through various Advent events to build a deep water well for a village in Malawi, Africa.
