Slightly Askew Theatre Ensemble presents Mary Shelley Monster Show

MARY SHELLEY MONSTER SHOW

PRESENTED BY SLIGHTLY ASKEW THEATRE ENSEMBLE:  AUGUST 20-30 AT 8:00PM

Slightly Askew Theatre Ensemble (SATE) is proud to present its last production in its Season of the Monster. An entire season dedicated to exploring what it means to be a monster. Are they forces outside of us or our own creations? It's not always black or white.

For the final production of the Season of the
Monster, SATE will produce an original play, Mary Shelley Monster Show. The
piece was conceived by Ellie Schwetye and Rachel Tibbetts and is written by
Nick Otten. Performances are August 20-30, Wednesdays-Saturdays, at The Chapel, 6238 Alexander Drive. SATE's Mary Shelley Monster Show will be a world
premiere.

Mary Shelley: the impulsive teen in a runaway love triangle, the precocious novelist, the daughter of revolutionaries, the lover and wife of philosopher-poet. Mary Shelley: the grieving mother, the martyr-widow, the hack writer. Mary Shelley: the monster and monster's mother. Was Mary Shelley's most famous novel, Frankenstein, really an autobiography?  Is she the creator or the
creature?
